Aethra launches X1 for the UC market

The endpoint landscape is moving in two directions. At one end we have the traditional infrastructure model where "the box" provides a complete solution including multipoint and data sharing capability. At the alternate end we see an endpoint purely acting as a camera within a managed services environment where the service provider offers bridging and data collaboration as part of the network. The Aethra X1 addresses the need for a low cost endpoint that can be easily bundled into the service providers monthly fee. Aethra has reset the benchmark with the X1 at $2990 USD RRP. The X1 is available now in Australia through the newly appointed Oceania distributor Xceed Solutions on 1300 124 618.
