Videoconference booking and billing systems

Postby dave_cairns » Thu Sep 18, 2008 12:33 pm

Hi all,

I hope someone can assist me in my search for a web based system for a fairly simple booking and billing management tool to be used for University videoconference management in a predominantly Polycom environment.

We do not want the system to book events on the Polycom MGC MCU but to be a calendar system for administration staff to use to enter upcoming videoconference events.

This does not necessarily need to be a VC vendor product, I am sure there is event planning software available which could meet our requirements.

One of the essential criteria would be product support in Australia.

Thanks in advance for any relevant input.

hello,

I think I might be able to help you but one question, I am assuming you want to take the conference records from the MCU to get the billing information required? Or is that not necessary because you have a fixed fee for conferences. For example 3 sites=100, 4 sites=$150. Therefore you don't need conference records for billing.

Can you explain your billing process in a little bit more detail. The reason I ask is that it makes a difference in what should be recommended.

thanks

Take a look into TANDBERG's TMS (management suite). It will do what you are seeking, and then some, even for the Pcom devices. It's a free download and use for up to 5 systems. So it can't hurt to try.
